Leaving Palmer @ tropical (production) and going to 8th street with El Titan...... Right after Willy left to go bang out new shit with JD. Don't seem logical to me but I'm not in the cigar biz. Honestly wonder how many people (such as myself) didn't know the current 32s were made at tropical right now. Probably as good as they once were way back when the Don was making them.....

Don't worry....Viaje will re-release them. j/k

Seriously though, if he is with El Titan de Bronze now (part owner or not), I would bet that they wouldn't want Padilla using Tropical. So dropping the 1932 et al. makes sense.

Been made there since 2008 when Pepin left. I actually prefer the reblend over the DPG, IMO they're more "Illusione like" than the pepper bombs out of Miami. I think the addition of Aganorsa leaf makes a world of difference. Guess it's time to stock up on close-outs.

It's funny... I love change when it implies improvement, but when it comes to something that I actually enjoy, I hate to see it change.

Yeah but it says Nick will still be using Palmer (tropical) and Argonosa leaf for many blends cont into the future.....

Funny Mike that u point that out. I love all things tropical. I must of wrote off the new 32s after they came out for being " just to young or wet"??? I remember not liking them much at all and never revisited them back in 08. Of course I was a newb here then and my palate was growing leaps and bounds. But yeah I definitely remember them being slightly harsh and tannicy as well. I know I have one around with several years on it. Think I still have a couple of the 32 oscuros from the pepin humis to burn as well. ;)

No not the 1932's. One of my favorites but like some people in the comments said i had noticed more frequent construction issues wonder how long he'd been thinking about canning them.

I might stir up some controversy here, but frankly I welcome it. I am a HUGE fan of the original 1932 and Miami blends. Maybe it's the age, maybe it's the blend, who am I to say. That said I think it is a smart move on Padilla's part. His sticks have been devalued over time (who's to say why...I can only guess). But if I had to guess at something, he is hungry to get to back into the game which means some mighty fine smokes for us (at least I hope so). Will anything match the original 1932's in my mind? I find it hard to believe but I want to find out. ;) BRING IT!
