We all know that Craig Mac had the opportunity to go on the BOTL Cigar Safari at Drew Estates a little while back. For those that don't know, on the Cigar Safari, participants have the opportunity to create their own cigar during a blending session. One example is the "AquaRat" that I reviewed, which was a gift from AquaRich after his trip on the Cigar Safari. Well, I was shown a picture with a DC# in it, with the label addressed to me. Craig says he has a stick he would like for me to smoke and give a review. It turns out, that this black banded beauty is the cigar that Craig had made during his trip. Although there were other nicknames being thrown around (others can share if they want)....I gave it the "MacZilla" name for the review, since it is the same size as the Ratzilla. Thanks again, Craig!

Thanks for the review Jere! How does it stack against the AquaRat and the BOTL release?
I believe I am correct in saying this, if not and you see this, please correct me Tim. The BOTL 2012 stick is based of the cigar that Tim had made on the same Cigar Safari as Rich. I did not have an opportunity to smoke that one, which IIRC had a T52 wrapper. I did however, have a chance to smoke a pre-release version of the BOTL 2012 that Eric had given me. I agree a lot with Tommy's review.

As far as comparing the three...if I were to smoke all three in the same day, the order would be MacZilla, BOTL 2012, and then the AquaRat. That's really based on flavors and the strength that I got from each stick.

Thanks Jere!! I understand why you prefer not to call it what I did, Dirty Sanchez!! LOL. Great review and I agree 100% with your assessment. Definitely started off muddled but really started to shine around the second third. Looking forward to letting them rest for a bit and see how it progresses.

Yeah, didn't think it would be right to call it the Dirty Sanchez on here...but, it you want me to change it, I will. Yeah, it was muddled a bit to start, but I could still tell the flavors that were there. Bet that will change with some more down time. Nice work with the blend!

My blend never even really opened up.. what is that saying? LOL.

Thank you for taking the time to post Jere. These are fun to read especially for the folks that participate in a past Cigar Safari.
