Cabaiguan

Hello everyone, been a while.

I was looking to get some Cabaiguan cigars. I've actually never tried one. I noticed there was 2 different series of Cabaiguan. Theres the normal Cabaiguan and then the Gabaiguan Guapos. What is the difference? I know the Guapos has a Maduro version and a natural, but what is the difference between the Cabaiguan Natural and Cabaiguan Guapos Natural?

Others may have a more specific answer, but there is a big difference in flavor. The Guapo is much more complex and flavorable IMHO. The Guapo is as close to a Cuban cigar as any other non-Cuban I've had. Highly recommended.

Cabaiguan Guapo Natty has an Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper and the Cabaiguan Natty has Connecticut Shade Grown Ecuadorian wrapper, same blend for the two I believe. Maddy Guapo has a CT Broadleaf wrapper.

Haven't bought any in a while but the regular cabaiguan line is rolled in Miami (at least they used to be, mine say Miami on the box and bands). The Guapo was the first of Petes smokes that were rolled in Nic if I remember correctly. Again, not sure if the regular line is still being rolled in Miami but that was a difference when the Guapos first came out. OR Guapos were fantastic. Wasn't a real fan of the ones that followed i.e. RX and 46. Don't get me wrong, they weren't bad, just preferred the regular line and the OR Guapo. If I wanted something a little fuller, I go to the brown line. G1

Love the Guapos, natural and maddie. The regulars are good, but Guapos get my vote.

Cabaiguan is the cigar line that made me rethink whether the best cigars were coming from Cuba. The Guapos 46 natural is just a fantastic cigar. My opinion but I think these would stump a lot of people in a blind cuban/non-cuban tasting.

One of my favorite lines. Been burning thru some of the regular robustos and toros. Have about a 3 yr old box of the 46 maduro that is just plain awesome right now.

Cabaiguan I always saw as an under-the-radar smoke, for how good it is. I love all of them... It's amazing, even with the high ratings, that it still kinda stays a cult'ish like smoke. Seems like only people who know their shit appreciate just how good these smokes are. Am I alone on this?

Yeah. Rarely hear any talk about these, which is unusual given how excellent they are. Maybe it's because they aren't a full bodied cigar? Those seem to get most of the buzz online.

I guess maybe... That, & the fact they have been around for a while too.
