The following beers were brewed by our very own Brothers Of The Leaf. Only seemed fitting to drink these tonight.
#1. First up is twenty5's Zombie Dust clone.
I was lucky enough to have had the opportunity to drink probably a 6 pack plus of Zombie Dust and really enjoy it. Justin's clone is pretty damn good with a bit of a heavy citrus to it. A smooth finish and very drinkable(I could see myself pounding this on a saturday night).
#2. The BOTL beer brewed by mthurley.
This is a nice, smooth, yet hoppy beer.
Age really settled it from the initial hops punch it had a few months ago. A bit of sediment but a nice brew.
#3. Firedoc's clone of BCS Coffee Stout.
Let me first start by saying that this is a beer that was part of a tasting I went to 2 weeks ago We first drank BCS Coffee Stout then had Matt's version right after.
To me, the BCS was too sweet and way too much coffee. I drank Matt's version and it was everything that BCS was missing. A medium finish that isn't too overwhelming. Matt's version was definitely coffee, but the KBS version seemed liked over sweetened Expresso.
So, In summary, these 3 guys make some damn good beer!
