Has anyone geeked out their humidors: txt msg when RH drops/raises above threshold, LED backlighting, etc?
Okay, not able to find what I mentioned for the text messaging. It's buggin' me now so I'll have to find it or go crazy. I did find a couple of cool gizmos that may fit the bill though...

The first one looks like it may be pretty pricey so probably out of most people's budget. The second one looks like a cheap Chinese trinket, but I would be interested to see how well it worked. Though you're humidor would have to be fairly close to the computer or you'd have to string a very long USB extension. I'll get back to this thread when I find the thing I was talking about...

Picked up the kitty litter crystals and added some to the Tupperware container. Added some water and closed it up without cigars, with a temp/humidity sensor. I guess trial and error will help decide how much water, as i added way too much water and the humidity shot up 5% in 15 minutes... Whoops.

Ive done that also, a few times. I'm probably just going to buy the beads and stop aggravating myself.
