My humidor shipped today and should be here in about 8 days!!

I will be going with Heartfelt 65% medium tube beads but, cannot decided on a hygrometer.

These are the main ones I was looking at.

Little Havana:
http://www.amazon.com/Little-Havana-Hygrometer/dp/B0009HHDSG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1342469060&sr=8-1&keywords=little+havana+hygrometer

CALIBER III:
http://www.amazon.com/CALIBER-DIGITAL-HYGROMETER-CIGAR-HUMIDOR/dp/B001CZLO5W/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1342469060&sr=8-3&keywords=little+havana+hygrometer

Any experience or advice on those or any recommendations for others?

I have the Little Havana, and while it has been fairly accurate (within 2% rh), I would take Dan's recommendation and go with something you can calibrate.

.....or making tape with a note reminding you about the adjustment...

This is what I use in mine - http://www.amazon.com/Xikar-Rectangular-Digital-Hygrometer/dp/B004167QI8/ref=sr_1_2?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1342471738&sr=1-2&keywords=xikar+hygrometer

Sadly, I've had problems with every one listed here, except the Xikar. Alohastyle uses one that I've been thinking about giving a try, it's not a cigar hygrometer, much nicer and surprisingly was cheaper. I can't remember what the name of it is though, and I had thought I put it on my wishlist but can't find it there either.

Just a little background that might help. This is a small humidor 35-50 cigars, so the hygro should fit in that relatively small area without taking up too much room

Haven't used either one of those, but it seems you can't calibrate them. I'd recommend one you can calibrate. Here's what I have in mine:

Go with the one dan recommended. I have 5 of this same model. Some up to 4 years old that just needed their first battery change. Always accurate and never one thats broke. Btw CI sells them as well as a couple other big sites. Might want to shop around and see if you can get free shipping from one. (looks like you only need one).

I have used 2 little havanas for the past six years - yearly or so battery changes is all that's been necessary. Have never done a salt test but based on experience I'm confident they are accurate enough for me.

I have two Caliber III hygrometers; one in my 50ct., and the other in my cabinet. They say you don't have to calibrate them, . I keep two 65% hf bead containers in my 50ct., and that's what my hygro reads, plus or minus 1%. I also have two 70% hf bead tubes in my cabinet, and that hygro reads 70%, plus or minus 1%. So far, the Caliber III has treated me well. :)

I have 2 caliber III's and 1 round xikar. I've used a calibration kit on all 3 and my xikar is dead on everytime. The caliber III's are only a 1-2% low that's close enough for me. The xikars are little more expensive so if 1-2% isn't that big of a deal I would go with the caliber III's. some body did a test on a different forum, where he works they do NIST testing and they said the xikar and caliber III were extremely accurate for the price
