Stopped in at the local shop today. Picked up a few sticks, all are new to me. I'm in a big trying new things phase and most of these were suggested by the shop owner.

Nub 460 Maduro 4" x 60
Rocky Patel Thunder Robusto 4.5" x 54
Isla del Sol Toro 6" x 52
La Vieja Habana Bombero 6" x 52
Perdomo Lot 23 Maduro Toro 6" x 50
Warlock Toro 6" x 54
PDR 1878 Reserva Dominicana Toro 6" x 52

Not too bad of a haul. Including the CAO Flavours I picked up for my lady, totaled $58.00.

Welcome, Richard!

I love to smoke all Liga Privada, My Father Flor de las Antillas, Arturo Fuente Flor Fina 8-5-8, Tatuaje Havana VI, Tatuaje Fausto, and some Alec Bradley Prensado or Star Insignia.
I also love to smoke anything from Pinar del Rio. They are just great!

This is a great place to find ideas! Enjoy!

Smoked the La Veija last night. AWESOME smoke for $5. Just smoked the Thunder. VERY strong but good earthy, leathery taste and burned perfect throughout the whole smoke.

Welcome to Botl.

Nice introduction. I'm not too far away, work in Savannah and live on Hilton head.

We should meet for a cigar if your ever down this way.

The thing with the local shops is there is one named Ye Olde Tobacco that has two locations in Savannah, one on the Southside and one on River Street. The one on the Southside is reasonably priced, $2-$3 more than what you can get your sticks for online which isn't bad considering shipping. The one downtown, same store/company mind you, is $6 more on top of the already $2-$3, which I think is a bit ridiculous. I have to say though, the people who own and run the Southside store on a daily basis are AWESOME! They know you by name, remember what you purchased last and ask you how you liked the product, and offer really good suggestions once they get a grasp on your tastes. Also, their pipe tobacco blends are awesome. I guess I made it seem worse than it really is. We don't have a vast amount of cigar shops in our area but I do support them when I'm in town.

With all these great suggestions, do any of you use any online vendors or do you think I should just stick with Ye Olde? I am looking to buy a humidor and most of the online vendors have beginners kits. Are these worth the money or do you not really need much more than the humidor to get started?
Yeah, river street store is crazy expensive. If you ever get to Hilton head, one store always gets opus x and charges msrp. I've also found the southside store to me marked up on some items but not everything.

I'll shoot you a pm with some info.

BTW, just smoked the Warlock. Damn good cigar but its a little too full strength for my tastes. Being I never smoked cigarettes or anything, I'm not too good with nicotine. Made me a little green and woozy.

VSG Pegasus
Brown Label Tat Noella
San Latano Oval

My Father Le Bijou Petite Robusto

You should have no problems finding them locally, all good everyday smokes imo. The Brown Label and Le Bijou are the fullest out the bunch.

The San Lotano Oval was AWESOME! Great burn, great flavor, and did not expect to get a relaxing 45 min smoke out of it. I'll have to look for these locally though I've never seen them.

Also, anyone ever seen my lighter anywhere before? I've yet to see it in shops or online. It's a Rocky Patel triple flame torch with a punch built into the bottom. Got it for $29.99 at a shop on River Street.
