Nope, not the musical kind:smile:

I love the CAO Brazila line and have recently stumbled across the Torano Signature series. Love the flavor profile on both of these. Also, Alex Bradley has one simply called the Brazilia. Impossible to find.

Are there any other Brazilian wrapped cigars out there that I should try?

Thanks for any help, Dennis

A trio worth trying...
Carlos Torano 2008 Tribute
2010 BOTL corona gorda

Edited for error. I mean duo...I don't know why I confuse Mexico with Brazil, especially given my predilections. Not even the same continent or spoken language....lol.

Also, try Dona Flor. I got hold of some of them before their lawsuit (which has since been settled) and they were great smokes for $8 three years ago. Nutty, cedary adn a bit of caramel if I remember rights.

Capoeira from Famous Smokes...one of the best out there for a price that you can't argue with. Rest these for around 9 months...they beat just about any other Brazilian cigar out there.

don't the ffps and uf4s have mata fina wrappers?
I'd heard that as well, but I'm pretty sure that's inaccurate. I think it's 9 wrapper and t-52 wrapper, respectively.
Yeah, I am not sure. But I also thought the 9 binder is brazillian, and the wrapper is Connie maduro or San Andreas maduro (can't remember).

I may be full of misinformation...

Not implied at all. But I know what you mean, I have to double check myself all the time before posting and still make mistakes. Even in my first post in the thread I edited later, lol:dunno:.

The ligas typically have Brazillian binders. The wrappers are Connecticut broadleaf or stalk cut habano.

No...

The No. 9's capa is CT Broadleaf No. 1 Darks and the T52's capa is CT Grown Stalk Cut Habano from the original Type 52 seed variety - both of these wrappers are grown and cured to our particulars exclusively for us by certain farmers in the CT River Valley.

However, both blends have plantation grown Brazilian Mata Fina capote (binder).

Hope this helps,

I stand corrected (and better informed).

I know this gets said A LOT, but I would personally like to reiterate my appreciation for being informed by (one of) the maker(s), himself. This is one of the many reasons to love BOTL.

And fwiw, every once in a while I will see it mis-published that LPs have DR filler in them - none of the current blends that have ever been sold or shared outside of the factory have any DR leaf in them.
