Well guys, this was a gift before I really got into cigars. I would have gotten a wineador, but this was a gift and I was a noob. So, there is a bottom section that does not come out. Then there is a removeable tray that is about 2 inches high. It sits on a little ledge. Meanwhile, I still have all this room above it. I've stacked the cigars 3-4 high, but I had a casualty today. I went to go remove the tray to get a cigar on the bottom, and an un-cello'ed viaje slipped off the top tray, hit the baseboard, and put a big tear in it. Well, the viaje is a goner. But I'm out of room and this 100-ct humidor is at it's max capacity. Is there anyone who can make me a new, taller tray? Any other ideas? I can't go too high, since the lid swings back.

These pics are super old from when I was living in Canada....

P.S. - I have no need for the analog hygrometer, but there is a giant hole in the humidor. Do you guys think something can be done about this?

Check with Forrest at winedors.com for the taller tray, also I have seen some dudes take the military coins or other things to cover the hole and seal it up where the analog hygrometer is!

Did something happen to the hygrometer, or you want to remove it?
If it's the latter, I would leave it in place. I know they are not accurate, but an inaccurate analog hygrometer will probably look better than anything else you can fill the spot with.
Plus it will certainly make for a good conversation piece when non-aficionados see a pyramid with a gauge that looks like it opens and ask "What the heck is that?"

What about trying to fit a digital hydro in there. Little black rtv seal on the outside and it would all blend in nice.

That is one really cool humi. Good luck with the shelf.

Thanks guys for all the comments. The analog hygro is very inaccurate and hardly changes. I have a Xikar on the inside. I'll contact Forest in the next few days. The humidor just has soo much empty space up top, I would love to use some of that space!

Some of the Padrons I smoked, some sold, and I still have 2-3 of them.
