y'know, with the gear/ band thing, i really shudder to thing of the packaging, much less actually hiding some away. sad, as i would like to try one.

On stogie review did an interview with the guy made em. he said should be in stores Oct. 24th, hopefully? Just wonder what they are planning to do with the gears, he mentions twice to save the gears for something special next year. Just seems to gimmiky for me, probably wont try one unless somebody gifts one to me.

just saw some pics of the cigars with the metal "gear" bands... thought that came to mind was, "how is one supposed to put that in a humi without chewing up all the other cigar wrappers in there?"

I agree with the gimmick; I have some of those Macanudo's with the metal bands on them. Hint: I still have them.
Believe it or not, those vintage 1997's are really good. I smoked on Thursday night at Stogies.
Based on this thread I smoked one last night and found it very bland; not a bad stick, but not much going on.

I'm smoking one as I type this on my phone, and I find them to be a good stick. Creamy, with some citrus like flavors. Not a lot of mind blowing complexity, but its working out well for an early morning stick. Just wish I had coffee to go with it.
