I am new to this site and to the hobby. I started enjoying cigars after a recent trip to the Dominican Republic and can't stop thinking about all the cigar possibilities out there! My wife and kids are taking the transition about as well as they can, given out general anti-smoking attitudes towards cigarettes. Man-o-man, never know the dirty looks you get while enjoying a smoke :p although there have been some great discussions started too, especially by fellow aficionados or casual enjoyers.

We have one local great shop, Lil' Brown Smoke Shop, and I have been frequenting it and some others in Spokane and Everett. But even Lil' Brown doesn't have many of the sticks mentioned on StogieFresh 5 or StogieGeeks, so I look forward to some trades, and maybe some box splits down the road!

So far my favorite sticks have been the San Lotano Maduro, the San Cristobol Seleccion del Sol mini(?), the Perdomo 10th Anniversary Maduro, the K.A. Kendall cigars (the corona I think). I am totally up for some recommendations!!

I also cycle, homebrew, and enjoy rum.

Welcome glad to have you here. Check out the newbie trade thread to get your trader rating started. Some of the review sites will focus on le or other rare cigars so just try and find what you like you will be smoking a huge variety sooner than you think. And remember but a bigger humidor than you think you need!

Welcome to BOTL brother! What brought you to Yakima if you were all from CA? I live just over the Mt Rainier pass, down Hwy 410 in Bonney Lake. If you ever want to head over this way for a bike ride and some cigars, I would gladly give you a few cigars you haven't tried. We have a great cigar lounge called Smokey Joe's and a few of us get together there every so often as well.

Did you meet Jonathan Drew a few weeks back when he went to Lil Brown?

I like your style... cycle, brew and rum. :)

Thanks all for the welcome!

Yakima = work, plus wife is from WA, so it fit well :) I'll have to head over the pass one of these days; did a ride out of Packwood to Ashford last year, very nice riding!

Unfortunately, I didn't get to me Jonathan, wife had to work and I was on daddy duty :p I did drop by and have a Philly cheese steak sandwich and saw the herf area tho, looked nice. On a positive note though, I was in lil' brown yesterday stocking up!
