The two I bought have vent holes. Their C4's have them as well. I assume the reasoning is it lets the ammonia escape so they can box them quickly after rolling....thats just a total guess though.

I asked about those as well, Javaman is correct. The guy told me this is so they can age properly. Of course, of it only has that little hole, one would assume these need longer than one with a traditional foot.

They will age phenomenally everyone store the hand grenades until next summer minimum
did you smoke one? why do you think so other than most viajes get better with age? just curious, mine came in today and not sure if i should wait or not.
I'd wait a few days and then try one. If you love it, get more. If you don't, age the ones you have :)

I am very confused by Viaje and their cigars, now I have chased cigars, and I will continue to chase cigars and have even chased these cigars, but the comments about them being bitter and not good just confuses me as to why we continue to chase these cigars.
I really agree with this. To be honest I haven't totally enjoyed a Viaje since the DES. I thought the Holiday 11 was good but so far of the ones I've had it makes me balk on new releases. Just alot of money to spend on a brand that's had more downs then ups.

Just a question for those who have smoked the HHG, did anyone think that it reminded them or was similar to the Exclusivo blend? I smoked a few and didn't taste the similarities, but I heard that it was based off of it. While I love the Exclusivo blend, I wasn't the biggest fan of the HHG.

This was my rationale and frankly my anticipation for these. Unfortunately, they do not even remotely taste like the Exclusivo blend. Luckily I was able to buy singles first. G1

Jimmy, I hope you like the rapists as well:). Hopefully it will be legitimate. In all seriousness, I have not had the opportunity to try these, but am waiting anxiously.

Agree as well. I am so tired of trying to get Late Harvest that have been sitting to burn and draw well. Never had to consistently relight a cigar as much as I do Late Harvest. His quality control blows

Any good tips on how to open the HHG box? i can get into it if I tried but I dont want to damage the box. Did you guys just pry the nails out of the top with a hammer?

The reasons to chase Viaje are releases like the Super Shot, Skull and Bones and the Late Harvest 550. Get a boveda humipak @ 65%, chuck into a tupperware for 60 days, and viola.

I used a stiff putty knife between the lid and the box rather than try to remove the nails. Once i got the lid off, i removed the roofing nails with a hammer. Box still in good shape.

Went with the Rapier.

Plywood and roofing nails??? This is what packaging has cone too???
