I just realized the lone Camacho stick sitting in my humi was blended by Litto Gomez. I completely forgot about this stick. I think the concept of the whole "Face Off" experiment was pretty cool. Has anyone smoked these? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

That being said, if you could choose two manufacturers in the industry today to recreate this, who would they be?

I've had a few of both. I vastly prefer the Camacho one that Litto blended as opposed to the LFD one that Christian blended.

I have smoked exactly one Camacho cigar in my life. It tasted like soap. Never again.

Fair point. Unfortunately there are so many good cigars out there...if one makes a bad first impression ( and it was bad) you lose out to the competition. I can't imagine I'm missing much by avoiding Camacho cigars. I have plenty of Padrons and Liga Privadas to make up for the loss. YMMV.

Edit: General Cigar is a successful cigar company. They sell domestic Punch, Hoyos, and Macanudos. I probably would not smoke those cigars if you gave them to me. Successful has not much to do with individual preference.

I don't think you should write off a successful cigar company because of one bad stick....

I'd have to look through my stash to see which one I smoked... I think I had the Camacho cigar and I thought it was good, nothing special though. I have both remaining and will make a point to smoke them soon as they are getting pretty old.

Good find. :)

The funny thing is that I kept looking past the cigar because all I saw was the Camacho label. When I picked it up this morning I noticed Litto Gomez on the side. I have to admit, I had no interst in smoking it until I figured out what it really was.

And to answer my own question, I would really enjoy seeing Pete and Dion do something like this. That would be sweet.

the camacho face off by litto gomez was on my bucket list for some time. when i finally got one i was a little let down by it. i found the draw to be very light. ... too light actually.

it had decent flavors.

i like camacho blended by Eiroa and LFD blended by Litto.

Pretty good stick. Have been fortunate enough to find a handful of them here and there. Nothing over the top but only comacho I have ever enjoyed. Cut it and spark it...you will not be disapointed!

As soon as I get over this cold/flu I plan on lighting it up. No sense in holding onto it any longer than I already have.
