Shitty cigar day

I started today with padron delicias. Tasted harsh and bitter so I tossed it. Lit up a pcr and didn't enjoy at all. Gave up on the pcr after 25 minutes too. Total of 12$ pissed away.

Something must be off w my palette. Both cigars bought in the last two weeks and stored at 70deg, 64-65rh.

Very disappointed. If tomorrow's smoke sucks I'll be really down.

This^^^ And possibly let the smokes rest a little longer, or maybe dry box them. But mostly just don't worry about it. Everyone has bad days.

I can attest to this....there are days when your taste buds just aren't working for one reason or another...colds, flu, new medications, could be a variety of reasons. I always keep a stick handy just in case my taste buds are a little strange....if I smoke this particular cigar and it doesn't taste "right"....I know not to smoke anything until my tastes return. I keep alot of Puros Indios around because of this....it's a taste I know like the back of my hand and it's cheap enough that if it doesn't taste 'right'....I don't smoke anything else until my tastes are what they are supposed to be like.

I can relate to this, had one the other week when meeting up with guys from round Syd. decided not to smoke, even turned down a dirty rat and a UAE RE of some sort, as i knew i wouldnt enjoy them.

had some experience with this a month back. took a few days off. sucked at first, but worth it for my palette.

My MUWAT +11 today wasn't very good at all. It was my first and after 2 inches in it was getting hot and just not good flavor. Hopefully my palate was off today.

I just took a week off and, hot damn, if my smoke didn't taste like the best thing ever. I remembered why I got into this in the first place...
