Thanks! It all depends on the depth of the pond. This is my first winter as the pond owner, but last winter when I was looking at the house they had the waterfall off, but a bubbler/de-icer in the pond. As long as you have water moving in there the Koi go 'dormant' when the temp gets too cold and they pretty much can survive through a lot.
