Fuente 8-5-8 Sungrown

I recently heard from my local that a Fuente rep told him all 8-5-8 Sungrowns were rolled in 1999. Anyone want to weigh in on this?

I know that's when they first started rolling them, but at the fuente federal dinner a few weeks ago they auctioned off a "vintage" box of the original release from 1999. Can't see why they would call it original vintage release if they where all rolled in 1999.

they have done a limited release after IPCPR for the last three years. the question, though, is the initial production date, not the release date.

FWIW, these disappeared completely, then resurfaced. i would say that there were at least two production periods, if not more: supports the '99 and '07 theory. i only wish i still had OR 858 SG to check! now i am going to have to go home and compare '10-'12. o)

Do you guys prefer the sungrowns or the rosados? I have smoked sungrowns, never had a rosado... How do they compare?

I love rosado-wrapped Fuentes. Those wrappers are fantastic. That said, I haven't had the 858 rosado yet (though I have one sitting in my humi from a brother here).

you will LOVE it! and, IMHO, if you find rosado hemis or 858, and they are not at a stupid mark up, buy them!
