Just got a tip that local shops have received distributions of Van Winkle, so those interested may wish to start contacting shops in your area.

Have my limit reserved from the retailer that contacted me (Twin Liquors @ Bee Caves, for you local guys), but will be happy to keep an eye out for those interested if more shows up at other places in the region.

Good Hunting!

Gotta love the Fall. The search is on, so much good stuff coming out with the BTAC and VW selections. If you get a chance the PHC from this year is very tasty as well.

Best regards, Tony

Talked to 2 if the 4 liquor shops that carry the higher end bottles, one tells me I should find a replacement, an other has a 2 year wait list, going to check with the other 2 but this sounds like they just don't ship out much at all. G1

I agree on the Parker's Heritage Collection bourbon. I have gotten the 4th edition going forward and they're all great. Have yet to pick up this year's release.

I have yet to try any VW and plan on going down to my local booze store to see about getting on a list or something.

After all the rave reviews how could I not put in a little effort to source some?

I have tried some VW products before and they are great but IMOP the Buffalo Trace Antique Stuff (Stagg, Weller, Sazerac, etc.) is just as good.

I stopped by my local and got on the list.

To prevent non-local customers this is their policy,

Provide a business card with a local area code phone number. If not local number you are not on the list. When the goods come in I will get a call if a bottle is available.

I was told they may only get 12 bottles. With me the list is 19 strong and was told MAKE SURE YOU ANSWER YOU PHONE WHEN HABERSHAM BEVERAGE POPS UP ON THE CALL ID.

Also, my guy said many people will not respond so he just works down the list.

I'm not sure if this is the best system or not but not too much effort to get a bottle....fingers crossed.

Got myself a VW Rye yesterday, the gentlemen had most of the PVW and all of the BTAC, I have a soft spot for the Rye and went for that.

He got them in about 3:00 in the afternoon and by 6:30 all were gone, said it was only 16 bottles and he was only allowing one per person.

Now to try a couple other stores that I frequent.

Best regards, Tony
