Forgive me if I should have stayed away from this thread (I'm a woman). . . my deepest sympathies go out to you on the snippage. I think I turned a healthy shade of green when I realized what the thread was actually about. Good luck in your recovery.
lol. Thanks

Congrats and take it easy. Had my procedure about 3 months ago. The first week was manageable, but then I think I overexerted myself so the whole next week was also uncomfortable.

I am now in the time frame to take my first sample in to have analyzed. Hoping to pass with flying colors.

I'm feeling surprisingly well today, but still listening the doc's orders of ice and rest. My biggest complaint right now is the stitches are itching like a mofo...lol

Turn your head to the left and cough while they handle your balls! LOL It's nothing. Afterwards, they swell up, need a bag of frozen peas.:ccowboy:

Had mine a few years ago, no meds just a local. I concur with the "take it easy" approach. I did too much too early, and had some discomfort as a result.

And by the by Craig.....Real men keep it buried :)

Had mine done just after the wife was all good after our 2nd was born, (he is now 6).

No issues, if anyone if thinking about it ask for the pain killers in advance. I had mine filled before the day and had 1 and a 10% beer before I went in, no worries at all!

And take it easy for 3-4 days, let everything settle good.

This had me dying laughing until I realized I may go through this one day.. Thanks for sharing bro!
This guy had a horror story...or just embellished - basically none of that stuff should happen if you get the right doc.

When I had lasik they gave me one valium which wore off prior to the op...I felt and smelled my eyeballs burning...so I didn't let that BS repeat itself with a vasectomy. Took some valium and vicodin of my own prior to surgery. The surgeon was 3hrs late but I still didnt feel shit. Cut, tied and burned is the only way to roll!

Worst part about mine was the time worrying about it beforehand.... and then the follow up test....

They gave me a brown paper bag with a cup and lid in it, told me to fill it before i came back....... I lived 45 min from where I had to go, with traffic took an hour....... got there with my little brown bag, and was informed I'd have to go into the back and run another sample for them.....

I was pretty embarassed bein escorted to the exam room by a nurse who just kept tryin not to laugh as she shut the door behind her..... I hung out in there for like an hour tryin to work up a sample... then just barely...

Co worker of mine went to give his sample and asked the nurse if it was "frowned upon to ask for a little help?" and she must have heard it all before because her answer was "sure let me go get Nurse Greg for you". He said he was in the room for about 45 minutes, too embarrassed to come out
