I had the chance to meet Terrence Reilly from Quesada at an event last month at Town & Country Cigars in Euless Texas. I had an Octoberfest cigar (Das Boot vitola) paired with a a local Octoberfest beer from Rahr & Sons Brewery. Both the cigar and the beer would have been great on their own but pairing them together created a synergy that made for a VERY enjoyable experience. The one that I had was very good ROTT so I bought a couple more and stashed them in my humi. Can't wait to see how they taste with a little bit of age on them.

I am dying to try one of these too, I love Oktoberfest beer and I have yet to see a single one of these cigars in Canada.

The Quesada line of cigars have a lot of "hits" on their brand. I tried the Oktoberfest months ago and love it ROTT and it gets better with rest. The Jalapa is another "hit" and it used the same tobacco as the Espana Seleccion except uses a different wrapper. I wish there was more product out there but there isn't and there are only a few places to score Quesada Cigars...they only last a day or two and they sell out quickly.

The Daga uses the same filler/binder as the 35th Anniversary but different wrapper.

I love, love, love these cigars - the Kurz and Uber are my favorites this year. I'm generally not a 60 rg fan- but it works for these cigars. I'm also not a beer drinker, but I'll have one with these, it just seems right

Love these. They're great ROTT but I think six months to a year will do wonders. I've been more and more selective when it comes to buying lately and I have a box of the Kaiser Ludwig on the way. I really want a box of the Bavarians as well.

There are very cigars I throw out within the first inch, and this was hands down at the top of that list. I pitched last years version so fast, I still can't even consider any other cigars from that brand.

I tried the Uber vitola and didn't get much out of it. Might have been better in a smaller ring or maybe I should have paired it with a lighter flavored beer.

I PM'd you about your stock and hope to see that you have some of the line that I really enjoy. I "fixed" the discrepancy in my post about how the Jalapa has the Espana Seleccion filler/binder ...not the 35th annvy's.....the Daga has the 35th anny filler/binder with a different wrapper. I have not smoked one of their lines that I didn't enjoy...complex and full of rich flavor.

Im going to have to swing by the B&M and pick a couple of these up this weekend.. I eyeballed them the last time I was in there and was tempted.. but ended up picking up a couple more of the old standbys (LP#9, Nub Maduro, and a couple of diesels..)... kinda regretting not taking the chance on something new and pulling 2 or 3 out of the box last time I was there now...

Love 'em, but the huge ring gauges kinda kill me. They do work nicely with an Oktoberfest brew . If you've not had 'em, they're worth a shot.

I bought a 5 pack a few weeks ago. Very tasty smoke, I personally had some burn issues though. I felt they needed more time in the humidor, so I'll definitely revisit. If you'd like to pair it with an Oktoberfest beer, Paulaner makes their Oktoberfest year round if you can find it.

With part of my team at Bog Smoke, I hadn't checked in and missed your pm - sorry for the delay there! We do have pretty much every Q product in stock as long as possible - we stock as deep as they will allow and we love their cigars!

I love Oktoberfest beers (esp. Marzens) and have an Oktoberfest celebration every year- lots of beer, grilled brats and wursts, sauerkraut, homemade pretzels, etc. This is the first I've heard of an Oktoberfest cigar. Now I must find...
