I've followed GSP for a long time and his technique and ring savvy are so advanced that he knows what his opponent is going to do before he does it. He's a scary tactician in that he's already two steps ahead of you. Not taking anything away from Condit....he's a really good fighter but this isn't an ordinary matchup...experience and mind are what counts here.

GSP.........hands down. I think he's the best all-around, pound for pound fighter to ever get into the octagon. Sucks that I'll be out of town tomorrow at a 'Friends Thanksgiving' and doubt they'll be getting it on PPV

Totally agree. I read a rumor a few weeks ago that said Silva will be at UFC 154 & is planning on "calling out" GSP should he win. Just a rumor though. Now that's a fight I'd pay to see! I personally think Jon Jones is one bad mo-fo too....

but there is no question, that pound for pound he is the finest fighter on the planet right now...

that dude is approaching 40 years of age.. and is still destroying everyone that gets into the octagon with him..

17 fights since his last loss in early 2006... only two of them have gone to decision.. 15 have been KO, TKO, or submission.. 13 of those fights have ended in the 1st round..

Truthfully, Silva hasnt been "beaten" since 2004.. the fight he lost in 2006 was because he was DQ'd for an illegal kick.. he was winning that fight at the time it was stopped..

He doesnt fight chumps either.. his wins are against Maia, Griffin, Sonen, Bonnar, Belfort, Cote, Henderson, Franklin, Marquart, etc..

but there is no comparrison to Silva IMNSHO...

He was technically beaten the first fight with sonen. Sonen won every round in dominating fashion untill he slipped up and got cought in the triangle with a minute left in the fight. And he even said he didnt realize how much time was left and if he did prob wouldnt have tapped.

But I think a Silva GSP fight is not fair to GSP there is to much of a weight gap there for it to be fair. The real fight should be Silva vs Jones!!

Sadly I think Jones will get his a** beaten if/when that fight happens.. (I'd LOVE to see someone not just beat Silva.. but beat the hell out of him...)...

I'd love to see that fight too. I do think Jones might be the only fighter out there who would give Silva at least a run for his money though.

undercard fights on FX tonight were all pretty good.. found most of the actual ppv undercards pretty boring though.. hoping the main event is better...
