After seeing some of the other threads today, decided to see how my L'Esprit de Verite 2008 are doing

And the verdict???
Well I just finished, but had to finish early because of draw issues got really bad in the last third. Had draw issues the first two thirds, but it was still smokeable and enjoyable. Besides that, I think it was a fantastic cigar that I think will still continue to improve. Creamy and woody, not overpowering, not full strength, not a pepper bomb, but still full of flavor. definitely look forward to smoking more of these later.

1st new production Miami
Oh, Ernesto. What happened to your line my brother? I have been relegated to searching out your old production just to remember your former glory. As I stare at this poor thing, completely lacking any discernible flavor & a testement poor construction, I wonder if your talents lay in the hands of Pepin.

It breaks my heart that thought most frequent thought in my head as I smoke the new version of a former favorite is "at least it's not bitter".
I cling to the memory of Miami, 1932 & Dominus (robusto).
:(
Edit: almost forgot- the old toros rock too! Damn it, Padilla!
