Ruger 10/22 Takedown

I just bought a new Ruger 10/22 Takedown and love to get some advice/comments.

1) What opinions does anyone have on it?
2) What are your suggestions concerning optics?
3) Anyone know of a good optic that will fit in the bag that comes along with the firearm?

I was simply underwhelmed by it. I bought a regular 10/22 last year, and am still working on selling it. The accuracy Ruger is delivering is not up to their previous standards.
The new Takedown did nothing to "wow" me, and is much more expensive than other "survival" rifles already on the market.
Finally, the one I handled felt very flimsy. That may have been because it was a display version that everybody was handling and constantly breaking down and reassembling. But, I expect any weapon I'm trusting my life to to be very durable, in the worst case scenario it becomes a large hammer. The one I handled felt like it would break if I looked at it the wrong way.
