Not everyone is fan of these... blasphemy, I know. I have to go to Vegas for work on occasion and pick these up just to gift to folks, to be honest.

Purchased my first lanceros last Friday at one of our local B&M's on recommendation from the Oliva rep at an event. Got a couple Oliva V's and Cain F's. In the freezer for 3 days then let them rest if the humidor for a month or so. Can't wait to try them.

true that, man, but still. it's like talking espresso and someone brings up a moka pot; not the same, but in a similar vein.

to the guys who are going to get into lanceros, remember that it is a technical vitola! more than most, this size and shape needs to be paced properly. too fast, it will heat up something fierce, too slow and you will be relighting constantly. just right, you will get AMAZING depth of flavor for something so seemingly delicate. in all honesty, i am just now really getting this vitola, mostly due to generous hook ups from brothers on here, and thanks to all 'y'all on that one! o)

Agreed, the V lance just doesn't carry the richness blend.

I've been telling people this for years...check into the Nestor Miranda Special Selection lancero.

Also the Illusione HL is one of the tops too.

Great thread. Honestly, I've only had maybe 10 different lanceros (blends, brands, whatever. Not 10 cigars), but I've loved so many of them. Every time I find a cigar I like, I look to see if it's available as a lance.

I can't believe I forgot to mention the Illusione ~hl~ candela! It was my first candela cigar, and the wrapper is fantastic in a small-RG format. Plus the basic ~hl~ blend is stellar. Great cigar, and a good intro to green smokes.

Very true. No joke, I usually use a chronograph when smoking a lancero so I can time my puffs. Not 100% necessary to do so, but I find it helps.
