In a couple days, I leave Minneapolis for my one month winter break between semesters.
However, I am stuck with the question: what do I do with my wineador?
Can I soak the Heartfelt beads extra well before leaving? Too much of a risk, and I should bring it with me?

Ideally, I WOULD bring it with me. But, I fear damaging my smokes transporting it back and forth. Also, its presence may cause conflicts at home (that's another story).

Short version: It should be fine for a month, or I should just man up and take it with me?

I'm curious what other people recommend for this, but I would think if you recharge your beads and throw in a handful (10 maybe?) of boveda humidity packs it should be fine. The humidity packs alone are suppose to last 2 months.

Disclaimer: I have never done this and never left a wineador alone this long, so this is just a guess

What brand? If the power goes off would it reset to 55 or remain at the more appropriate 65 area? That would be my primary concern.

If you throw a few boveda packs in it, I wouldn't feel the need to worry about it.

If you don't feel comfortable with that either, I could watch over it for you, can't promise there won't be extra sticks buried in there somewhere :p
Then again, that would defeat the purpose of you not taking it with you.

do you have a safe place, or are you dorming it? that would be my main concern. other than that, i would think that heartfelt plus a good seal should be fine, maybe chuck in a couple few boveda packs to be paranoid.

It's an EdgeStar 28.
And you're not to be trusted. EVER.

I have my own room in a house, meaning i'm the only person besides the landlord with a key. However, they may run tours through the house while I'm gone. Another concern I forgot about until your post. Thank you sir.

I think youre likely safe dude...

I dont have a lot of wineador experience.. but it took all of 48 hours to get mine stable when I first hooked it up... and then I immediately left town for 8 days... I came back on Sunday night (2 days ago).. and it was exactly like I left it...

Ive been in and out of it probably 20 times in the past 48 hours... and it has bounced back to perfect within no time... its bar none the most stable environment I have had my sticks in.. ever...

this time of year heat isnt really a concern.. and I agree with everyone else.. a couple of bovedas should more than cover you for a 30 day window of time if youre nervous..
