My locals lounge is awesome, pool table, poker table, tv, leather chairs and couches. Tall table where he lets me pack my bombs and trades. And lockers. 20 a month plus 10 for locker. I get 5% off.

Most here in NY you just need to buy one of their sticks. That's for the public lounges. Privates are a whole diff story of course.

There really isn't a lounge where I live in DC. The B&M I frequent closes at 6, so can't really go there to enjoy a cigar. The only option is a lounge/restaurant that requires $12 minimum, which means I only go there when I want to eat and smoke. I am jealous of people who have lounges

I have two lounges where I live and then Coronas which is about 30-45 min away. All three are pay for a stick and youre a member for a day. One did have a monthly membership available also when you kept a locked humidor on site. The other one closes at 7 pm so its not ideal but it is a small shop where everyone is friends. Coronas is the best but the 30-45 min drive isn't always ideal. None have a cutting fee either.

Some of you guys have some really awesome sounding places to smoke. There are a few around my way, not too many private lounges close by though. One of the places doesn't charge any cutting fees or even require you to buy a cigar from them. I always do though, because its just rude not to imo. Another doesn't mind if you bring your own, they just ask for a cutting fee or a purchase from their humi.

I don't really agree with the whole bringing food to a restaurant analogy, I don't think it really apllies. Maybe bringing beer to a bar, but even that is a stretch.

I don't think I would ever walk into a restaurant and pull up a chair to some strangers table and start asking them about the food they are eating. Yet, I would have no problem sitting down with some strangers at a lounge or B&M and striking up a convo about what they are smoking.

Wish we had a good B&M much less a lounge. We had a place a few years ago but the smoking laws changed so much he shut down and now there are none.

I'm in the same boat as press_mute. My local B&M closes at 7, which is usually the time I get home from work. In addition to the "early" closing time it's also rather small, but does have a decent selection and fair prices. There are two others within driving distance but neither have lockers and only one has a lounge, to my knowledge. It's been interesting going over this older post and seeing how everyone around the country deals with this issue and the varying prices throughout regions. I did find a lounge in SC while visiting family that is really nice and carries exclusively small/boutique, non-major brand, cigars. Lockers are offered as well, for about $300 p/yr. if I remember correctly. I think it would be an awesome set up if I lived in the area, but $300 p/yr. is a bit much since I only make it down 3-4x a year.

You don't show a location in your info - are you talking about Corona Cigar on Sand Lake road in Orlando FL? If you are, I was in that shop over the 4th of July this year when i was on vacation @ Disney. That shop is awesome!! Great selection, great staff, great all around experience. I made the 30min drive to Corona's from our resort 3 times during our stay that week.

Yea, maybe someone can help me. Do I have be around for a certain amount of days before I can post personal information on this forum? Yes, Sand Lake is 30 min and Orlando is 45 min for me. They are great shops with the best selection imaginable. Accessories too! Real friendly and knowledgeable staff and great lounge. You should have tried the Downtown Orlando spot as well. Its larger with a bigger bar and more of a nightlife feel.

Some perspective. Indoor lounges don't exist here (Toronto). I would gladly pay a reasonable fee to sit around and smoke during the Winter months.. And I'd imagine most B&M's are hurting due to Internet retailers. If this one way they can differentiate, then more power to them. If they price it right, have a good sized lounge with proper ventilation then it's worth patronizing IMO. The closest indoor lounges I have access to are in Montreal. Some are decent, others are terrible in that the ventilation is non existent. You'll end up getting bathed in smoke and not even be able to taste your own cigar.

Where I live in Indiana and the surrounding shops I've been to, they don't charge anything to use the lounges, but don't allow you to bring in your own Cigars either. I can understand if they have something especially nice that they charge a fee for, but honestly, our free lounges have big screen HDTVs and leather furniture that's very comfortable. Not sure what I would pay for in a lounge.

I'm in the same boat at bundwallah. Afaik, the closest indoor lounge is about 70 miles away. I would gladly pay a fee for something local.

I believe you can just go to UserCP and edit your profile.

No Lunge fees in KC!

Only time I have seen a lounge fee is at Casa Fuente in Vegas.. Of course you had to spend $25 to use the lounge. From what I hear that was only the Case while the Big smoke was in town b/c the didn't want people walking in with smokes and filling up their lounge during the event weekend.

I thought so to, but all the fields are blank. I can type, there just isn't anything saying what each field is for. Do I just enter whatever I want on each line?

We have a bunch of lounges close by. Some you have to be a member and some you don't. I'd join one but the hours just plain old suck. Most close between 7-9pm. I'd love to find a 24 hour place, but there are none that I know of.

I'd never walk into a shop with outside smokes without buying something. I always buy some stuff, then smoke either those or something I brought.

I am out on my deck smoking right now. It's 30 degrees and snowing. I am bundled up and have the portable heater rocking. Only my feet are cold. Should have put the mickey mouse boots on, but was too lazy.

So do you all think it is worth it to join a lounge that requires a membership fee?

I think it really depends on the lounge, amount of the fee, and location. As I said earlier, there aren't any lounges around here, so for me it would definitely be worth it to pay a fee just to be able to sit indoors. For others, who have options, a lounge would really need to do something to set themselves apart in order for the fee to be feasible.

Are you talking about Shelly's? I didn't realize there was a minimum there...still, that's basically just a couple of drinks and those burgers absolutely rock!
