Right Here.
I keep my house at 70 degrees year round and humi is normally at 70/70. I was thinking about buying a wine fridge I saw at Lowes with cedar racks and converting it into a coolidor...we'll see. Should I keep the stash at a lower temp than 70?

Man...I hate the idea of Beatles....I have never been a "freeze" guy, and I store my cigars in a vinodor below 70 degrees, but I'm thinking of doing it anyway...Problem is, I have a lot of cigars. Maybe 7-8 hundred. I guess I could freeze one drawer full at a time...no easy way to do it, in my situation.

Yeah It will be a pain with that many cigars but there is no better insurance against beetles, even at 70F. I was never a freeze guy either and thought it would change how the cigars were meant to be, but I started doing it before my stash got too big and its one of the est decisions I have made with the tobacco hobby.

How long do you keep your purchased and gifted cigars in quarantine before you bring them into your typical storage?
I really have no set time-table. Lately it has been when room has been cleared. At the earliest probably after a month or two. I'll inspect the singles, finish labeling them with who they came from, and put them away. Like you, I more cautious during the summer months, but to be honest... I don't get a lot of shipments of NCs. I purchase nearly all of them at B&Ms. The big thing, which I'm sure a lot of guys practice is researching your source. I don't buy from someone online unless I know something about them. Basically, I don't chase bargains or make large purchases with unknown vendors.

We tapped the stick on its foot at the B&M and yes, there was black dust and two perfectly round tiny holes. I've double ziploc'd my stash, refrigerated and will freeze for a few days. Humidor has been cleaned thoroughly and is being re-seasoned as we speak. One thing to say: F@*K Beetles! This sucks.
That sucks. I'm sorry to hear that man!
