I'm watching the Buffalo Wings Bowl right now on ESPN. WTF? I think it's being played in Arizona, but not 100% sure. You old fucks remember the good old days? The Rose Bowl, Peach Bowl, Sugar Bowl (my fav). And, of course...the Bluebonnet Bowl. I loved to watch those games in the 70s. I know I'm getting crusty, but corporate sponsorship takes something away from the bowl games for me. You guys agree?

I agree. I remember the Orange, Sugar, Rose, Peach, Fiesta and Sugar bowls as a kid but don't recall the Bluebonnet bowl (at least not from my childhood). When the corporate sponsorship first made me say HUH? was when the Fiesta bowl became the Doritos Fiesta Bowl. Now everything (including the rose bowl) has been whored out to the sponsors. At least the Rose Bowl is still listed as "The Rose Bowl (presented by Vizio)" rather than the others such as the Discover Orange Bowl, the Allstate Sugar Bowl or worst of all the Chik-Fil-A Bowl which has now even dropped the "peach" altogether. Formerly it was at least the Chik-Fil-A Peach Bowl.

Yeah, the corporate sponsorship cheapens the feel of it, but oh we'll, they need the $$ so they sell the name rights. Very common, look at most NFL stadiums.
