to have a terrible backup start for the Vikings in the biggest game in 3 years... terrible.

I can handle a loss fair and square, but to lose a game with no fu*%in hope sucks.

Huge packer fan since the day I was born so it was nice to see the Vikings put in their place. But it was ridiculous when I couldn't tell if Joe Webb's QB rating tonight was higher or lower than his jersey number.

I'm sure the game would have been a lot more interesting if Ponder had started. The key to the win was holding Peterson to less than 100 yards though. Thankfully the Pack was able to do that tonight.

Maybe packers wouldn't have had 9 in the box the entire game, if ponder played. Or maybe Vikes could have done some play action on 1st or 2nd down. Bad scheme and coaching effort by the vikes.

49ers and pack is going to be a slug fest.

Today did help lessen the sting from last week, but honestly I would have rather seen GB win against Ponder instead of his weak backup. Now what do we have to do to poach Adrian Peterson? 28 would look good in green...

Exactly... I'm the same way. Would rather win or lose against a full strength team. Of course I would be happy with a win, but as the title says, it's pretty anticlimactic for both teams.

And I should know better by now to start a thread like this. There are some gracious winners/losers when it comes to sports and there are some not so gracious people that don't give a shit. I think Bill learned how serious I am with football a couple years ago! LOL I can handle good-natured ribbing, but being a jackass in victory is not cool. Also not understanding intent can happen too... :)

I agree....It's a lot harder to get excited about beating a team that is not at full strength. The way the Vikings have played this year (especially over the past few weeks) has proven that they are a force to contend with. It really is too bad that Ponder ended up being out with an injury. The game would have been a lot more exciting (and meaningful) if he had been able to play tonight.

I was at the game tonight and as a huge Viking fan myself, I have to say anticlimactic describes it perfectly. I felt like they never had a chance. What should have been a good nfc north showdown turned into a beat down.....

Wouldve been nice to have a healthy Percy Harvin too. The way he played this year before getting hurt, i truly think he's a top 10 nfl talent. I couldnt imagine his stats with a Tom Brady or Peyton Manning.

It's hard to wait that long and then finally the Vikings get to the playoffs. Then to know you have no hope at winning when the game started because a far inferior backup QB is starting is just a dagger to the heart. I really thought the Vikings at full strength (without Percy) could beat the Packers. To lose your QB is a huge hit to morale on the team and they showed it. Oh well, guess I'll root for the Seahawks? Hopefully the 9ers and Packers beat the crap out of each other as I hate both those teams.
