I pretty much don't care what shape a cigar comes in as long as it's not 'phallic pressed'....if the cigar tastes good that's all that matters.

I like box pressed cigars. I wouldn't say I prefer them, and sometimes I'd rather have a cabinet, but I don't mind it.

I DO prefer a box press when it's a large ring gauge (say, bigger than 54)..

I'd be VERY VERY VERY curious to see what a box pressed Liga Privada would taste like ...

I think the box press adds something to the flavor. I LOVE a box press.
Im no expert so someone help me out here. How could squeezing a cigar into a square shape after its rolled do anything for the flavor? My daughter says the same thing about sandwiches I cut out into shapes for her. The only thing I could figure would be that the air flow changes the burn leading to a different flavor?
Try it for yourself! There are a number of cigars that come in both box pressed and cabinet formats, such as the La Riqueza, Tatuaje Cojonu '03 vs. '12 Habano, Illusione (regular vs "Slam"), Epernay, etc. It's really worth doing this to test your palate, as well as to solve your question :)

I'm indifferent as long as the cigar is tasty.
^^^100%^^^

I think if a cigar is an epic smoke it simply doesn't matter. I will say I totally understand your mental issue with this because I have an issue with Lancero's. Even though I love them I get a little irritated because it reminds me of holding a cigarette which I quit smoking almost 14 years ago. It's a reason I don't go out of my way to buy these.
That makes total sense if you used to smoke cigarettes. What I don't get is guys who don't smoke thin cigars because they think it looks girly ... I always retort with "So you think it's more manly to hold a long, fat, black rod in your mouth?"
