So my wife is taking me out tomorrow night to a place that has a pretty sweet beer selection as an early Bday present. I already know a few of these I want to try but was wondering if there were any on these lists that you guys have tried and believe would be a must try for me. I am not very picky when it comes to beer styles so I am pretty much open to anything (but looks like mostly belgiums here, which I love). Thanks for any input!! Here they are:

Belgian

Stella Artois, Belgium 5.2%, 14oz. $7
Pleasantly bitter pilsner with a crisp, dry flavor.

Hoegaarden Wit, Belgium 4.9%, 14oz. $7
Belgian wheat beer spiced with coriander and orange peel.

Leffe Blond, Belgium 6.6%, 10 oz. $7
A golden abbey ale, spicy aromas of clove, vanilla, and caramel.

Allagash Black (Belgian Stout), Maine 7.5%, 25 oz., $20
Roasted malts give this stout its classic chocolate, toast and malty taste, and a hint of roasted coffee in the aroma.

My best suggestion is stick to there draft list (it may be different even when you get there) You can buy bottles yourself elsewhere.

Next suggestion is decide when you get there on what sounds good at that moment.

I've had the Chimay and Piraat and a few of the Trappist beers on the list, all great beers IMO. I personally love Trappist beers, never had a bad one and they pack a punch!

Thanks everyone for the input, will probably stick to mostly drafts but may have to grab one or two of the bottles. I'm getting thirsty...!

I would get a couple of flights (Four 3oz. tasters). Make sure Allagash Curieux is in one of them. The Chimays are always good, St. Bernardus is one of my all time favorites along with Rochefort (6, 8, 10). Three Philosophers is very good. I also like Grimbergen Dubbel & Unibroue Trois Pistoles. There's a lot of good beer on that list. Do some flights so you can try more for less. It's also a good way to get a feel for what style of beer you prefer which might help you in your decision when purchasing bottles.
