Not "firearms" technically, but thought I'd share anyways:

I've been looking for a sweet EDC knife - been years since I had one and wanted to pick another up. Researched a ton of different ones and decided on the Gerber 06 FAST spring assisted folder.

It showed up today and I was giddy like a schoolgirl to get my hands on it. It's wicked cool if anyone is in the market for a good knife!

Its hard to beat Gerber for the prices they sell their products at... I own several of their folders (maybe 6 or 8)... I love their multi-tools as well.. I much prefer them over leatherman, SOG, etc.. multi tools..

I went through a phase of buying very high end, custom, folding knives years ago.... While I found that they generally perform much better than production stuff.. I also found that I didnt want to carry or use them the way I should in the field for fear of beating them up, damaging them, etc.. ( I absolutelyt wrecked a Chris Reeve sebenza on a camping/hiking trip.. wasnt the knives fault.. I abused it.. and used it in manners that it really wasnt intended.. after that I found myself being unnecessarily "nice" to my knives...)..

These days I for the most part use gerber, spyderco, SOG, etc.. for my EDC folders (I've probably got 30 or 40 different folders of every possible size, blade configuaration, lock, etc.. imaginable in different bags, packs, desk drawers, etc.. )... If I wreck one.. so be it... Ill pick up another one for $25-$75 depending on what we are talking about....

I still keep several customs in my fixed blade collection though..

Just had this one made about six months ago.. A bunch of us went in on a group buy and got a really great deal on them....took it on a couple of hunts this past season... performed flawlessly..

Darrin, the guy that owns Tactical Combat Tools (knife maker) is a current Special Forces sergeant major.. is a great dude.. that does knives in his spare time (absolutely phenominal work.. for a very, very good price IMHO...)... Ill be buying more from him in the future..

I have the LMF II. Outstanding quality!
The original LMF was the first "tactical" knife I ever purchased..

picked it up in the summer of 1988 (still remember when and where I purchased it).. I loved that thing..

dont have a clue where it is now... Im sure I never sold or traded it to anyone.. but I havent seen it in years.. Im guessing it either got stolen or lost in a move or on a deployment or something...
