Hi guys,
Not many reviews and much information to find on the web about the fairly recently released Ditka line by Camacho (outside of press releases, etc.). I just happen to stumble upon them at Churchill 'n Downs in Deerfield, IL a few weeks ago. While doing some paperwork, I smoked the "Player" line (a torp in this case, but they have robustos, toros, and 6x60s for each blend) and thoroughly enjoyed the mild version of the three blends they have in the series (Player- Connecticut wrapper, Coach- Criollo wrapper, and Hall of Famer- Maduro wrapped). Very bright and creamy, a slight black pepper zing in the background with ample notes of cedar. The lighter version fit the bill for doing writing, but since then I ordered up the other two blends to give them a try.
I will be honest, being from the Chicago area and seeing "da coach" on the box did get my attention... and the coffins make for great packaging (very Liberty Series). However, the smokes seem to carry their own weight.
Anybody else try them?
