Ashamedly, I'm smoking my very first ever Liga Privada. It's the No. 9 and it was gifted to me by my secret santa this year. Pairing it with some Founder's Breakfast Stout; a nice combination if I do say so myself.

You won't get any reviews from me with words like hints of southeastern Mississippi pecans or slight notes of hawaiin vanilla, but you will get that it's GOOD with an easy draw and effortless smoke, a perfect burn and gorgeous ash. A very nice medium bodied smoke, much to my surprise, that I am thoroughly enjoying. And the plumes of smoke are giving my new Sharp Plasmacluster Ion Generator a true test. I have no doubts that in the morning there will be no signs or smells of cigar smoke in the "smoking room".

I've got 2 other LP vitolas at home and can't wait to try those as well. I've not been cigar shopping in quite some time as I'm trying to work my way through the stuff I've been accumulating for the last 5 years, but when I do go shopping, I'll be seeking these out.

I now see and can lay claim to what all the fuss is about. Consider me a fan!!

This is how it starts... I remember when I had my first No. 9 - I went into it thinking there was no way it would live up to the hype. Now, I just sign my checks over to Drew Estate. :scratchhe

Thanks for the review!

Until just 5 minutes ago, I had not smoked a Liga either. This guy has been in my wineador for 2 years. It's off to a great start....

As wonderful as the #9's are, just wait until you try a T52, Gale!
The wrappers are as unbeleiveable as they are legendary, and the profile has a bit more slice and complexity...Just a pleasure.

Clint is hitting it in the head, I loved #9's for the first few weeks I had them.... Until I had a T52... Near perfect freaking stick, especially with a little but more time (just a touch)

At the risk of being shunned and or persecuted by all the brothers here... I had my first ratzilla on Saturday and was utterly disappointed. Idk if I just got a bad one or what but it was my first stick of the day, ended up having four i think, but it tasted like a cigarette ashtray smells and was not special in any way. Maybe It was an off day or just a bad stick idk, the sticks I had after were very tasty so... it is what it is i guess.

My 1st No. 9 didn't disappoint. Based on JHewey's recommendation, I'll being the lookout for a fresh one....as well as a T-52.

Another guy here that has a T52 preference. Totally agree with Gavin with the little amount of down time...but not years of course!

Different places, different times for both. I prefer the T52 a little later in the day while I like the 9 either in the morning or late evening. Now the Undercrown Corona Viva is good anytime of the day. If you haven't tried one give them a shot.
