Definitely in again, Dave. A small green sample is perfect for me. I think it's awesome that you'll be roasting the rest! I really think its a hobby that you'll enjoy a great deal.

Hells yes sign me up! Can't wait to see how this plays out. I in turn are using you as a Guinea Pig. I have thought about trying to start roasting for some time now and just never have the means (or when I have the means, I get distracted) but I want to learn through your experience and mistakes...

Just come across this and would love to get in on it Dave! I recently found out there is a place an hour from me that imports and roasts beans and am going to be checking on getting fresh beans from them if possible and try my hand at roasting.

3) zama80

once I get to Juba Ill have a better idea of just how many beans Ill be able to get my hands on (I know the Kenyan beans are already taken care of.. but I have no idea yet how many (if any) Ethiopian beans I will be able to get...
If I get more beans than I expect.. Ill open the list up again... would be happy to add a few more guinea pigs to my roasting experiment

Not participating, but I just wanted to say how spectacular this thread is.
I just realized that there are a couple of people that expressed interest in round two when we did this the last time...
apaniagua, tobacco giant, and inspector gadget... if you guys want in... Ill make room (Ill find some more beans I am sure)...

if all of you jump on board that will give us 10x people.. I think thats about the max I can handle without poisoning all of us in the process lol...

First off, I'm with ThroughHisStomach, this is a sweet thread. Much like cigars I love love love coffee. That being said, I'd love to see the results once your off and running with the results of the tastings.
no need for you to roast... thejavaman roasted everyones beans the last time (I was just the mule that found them and brought them back)...
this time around Im going to go find us some "new" street beans (already have some of them... Im just looking for a few more..)... Ill bring them back.. and Ill roast them...
all you have to do is grind them (If you dont have a grinder.. Ill grind them for you too)... and drink them.. then tell everyone else what you think (do a little, unprofessional, mini-review)...
