I know I should turn in my man card when i say this, but this maybe be one of the few exceptions. I am traveling a few hours away to attend a grand opening of a store. Yes see i told you! Except this isn't just any store, it is the first Cabela's they are putting in Ohio. I am excited if you couldn't tell. I spent quite a few years working down there and I cannot wait to see my friends. So off to Columbus I go! Leaving tonight.

Oh and on a cigar related note. I plan on hitting up Governors Smoke Shop in Westerville tomorrow night before I head home. I hear good this about this place.

They are opening a Cabelas in my town in April. There is already a Bass Pro Shops, but I looked forward to seeing what Cabelas has to offer.

There's one about an hour and a half away from me. I make the trek whenever I can.

After checking out the website I now know why I never heard of Cabellos. I'm a city guy living at the Jersey shore. A sports store to me is a place to buy baseball, basketball and football gear. I live less than 1 mile from Shark River inlet where about 30 fishing boats call home. I always wanted to learn to fish but never found the time.

I absolutely love Cabellas! I have one about a hour and a half away and I drive all the way out there every couple months. They used to have some gems in the used gun selection. And I am kinda drunk and have to tell a short story. I was sitting next to an interesting character in a calculus lecture my freshman year of college with my well abused romeos casually resting on the chairs in front of me. This kid(cleary higher than the farthest reaches of the universe) leaned over and said, "I have always wanted a pair of Romeo's but when I went to Cabellas to get them I was thinking the stuffed animal heads were watching me and had to leave." Needless to say the professor kicked me out of lecture for nearly falling out of my chair from laughing so hard.

A new Cabelas about 50 mi away from my house will be opening in a couple weeks. I'll be there for the grand opening and may even pick up a Glock G20 while I'm there :eyebrow:
