Recommendations for the Big Five-O?

I would smoke whatever I wanted. Its a milestone! Smoke what you love or smoke something completely new. Its all good!
Oh, I have some options I'm considering...! I'm just wondering what the brothers would choose for this particular (and dubious) milestone! I should add--- later this year, as a 50th birthday/mid-life crisis kind of thing, I'm going to Tanzania to attempt the summit of Kilimanjaro. There'll be a Cohiba Behike 54 waiting for me after I get back down the mountain, success or no...
My opinion I would say smoke the oldest cigar you own. Or the cigar that has the most meaning to you. At a milestone such as this you have to look back on it one day and say damn that was a good day.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I like the notion of the cigar with the "most meaning." I have a particular few CCs that I picked up in Vancouver last year when I was out in that area on the occasion of my niece's wedding in Seattle. One of those should do nicely-- perhaps the Cohiba Esplendido. If I have time, then maybe a Fuente Fuente Opus X "Lost City" robusto. It's been taunting me for the better part of a year, so it may be time to finally try it...!

Great trip... Tanzania is one of my favorite places on earth.. youll have a blast while you are there..
Kilimanjaro isnt a cake walk.. but if you can make it to the summit of the average non-technical 14'er in the Colorado rockies.. youll make it to the summit of Kjaro without much of a problem.. Kjaro is a lot taller.. but isnt as steep or as technical as many rocky mountain climbs.. (depending on what route you take)... Marangu route actually has a pretty wide trail all the way to the top, and there are A frame shelters along the way to sleep in... (a good way to check yourself prior to spending the money and making the trip.. spend a 4 day weekend in Colorado Springs and do Pikes Peak (or another similar 14'er))..
If youre going all the way to Tanzania.. spend a couple of days in one of the national parks on a safari... I prefer a small park called Mikumi, which is just a couple of hours by land cruiser north of Dar Es Salaam... plenty of animals and things to see.. but very few tourists.. when I was there last it was just my wife and I and one other couple in the camp.. we essentially had the entire park to ourselves for 48 hours.. Arusha, Serengetti, and others are more popular.. but youre going to have people and land cruisers running all over the place while youre trying to "get close" to nature.. kinda ruins the experience for me when that happens...
Also.. make sure to spend at least 2 days in Dar if you have the chance... some of the best restaurants on the African continent are in Dar.. there is a place called "Addis in Dar" that I no shit had the best meal of my entire life at... there are several others I could recommend as well when you get closer to getting there.. the only hotel worth staying at there is the Kempenski though.. all others seriously SUCK ROCKS.. service is bad.. rooms are marginal (and expensive).. etc..

All right! With all this great advice taken to heart, what I will do is head down to my local lounge (the wonderful Tasting Room in Monona, WI). I'll buy a few sticks to keep Bryant happy, but I will smoke a Padron 80th anniversary maduro followed by (if I have time before the obligatory dinner party) that Fuente Fuente Opus X Lost City. Hopefully the whole Hee-Haw gang will be there (Roger, Richard, Tim, Scott, Carla, Sue, maybe even Vince, et. al.) to share conviviality. Savor your milestones as they happen, brothers!
