And i smoked a bowl of Frog Morton Cellar, i think i like the original better but this is my first bowl so i will try a couple more.

how do i smoke it? stuff it in the bowl and spark up? still too green to get you on that one, man.

if you mean how do i prepare the sheet of tobacco, i just pulled a sheet and robbed it into a loose pile, then pinch and roll about a third into the bowl. once i get into which smokes i dig, THEN i try different preparation methods. like worrying about v cut versus bullet when you really can't tell nicaraguan from hinduran, right? o)

also got to the macbaren modern mixture, which might not be for me. not going to write it off on one smoke, though.

Yeah sorry i didn't specify Sean, there is 3 methods to smoke flake, one is to just fold the sheet and stuff it in there. the second is to cut it in little squares and pack that in. the third is what you did, rub it out and pack it. You get different strength and flavors depending on how you try it. and i didnt like the modern mixture that much either, just not a balanced flavor for me, but that is why its a sample for you to try so you dont have to get it and not like it.

Did another bowl of frog Morton bayou, it just doesn't have the same kick that I get out of the original frog. Expect the rest of this tin in bombs going out soon.

beefy, the stanwell smokes like a champ, but nothing compared to the georg jensen, and thanks! the big ben got teflon tape until i can find the appropriate tools to GENTLY stretch the tenon out. all three great pieces.

utah, i'm actually doing up some of the macbaren modern mix right now. with a last little bit of frogmorton. and some nightcap. most of your modern, and leftover pinches of the other two. turned out fairly well. o)

nice thing about pipe tobacco, like coffee in many ways: if it is not a perfect fit, blend it out with something more your style!

Hey that's why i love it, another trick to try is if your not digging it set the pipe down for awhile(i put a pipe cleaner in the stem to soak up any juices cause you know... im juicy) then come back to it. I have come back to a pipe after 2 days and got a completely different flavor than before. sometimes it can be bitter but other times it will make it mellow and blend together, but if you were going to chuck the mix anyway or want to experiment then try it.

burned down another sample of the 4th gen, the 1855? not bad, mellow, rich bright flavors, but punished my pacing pretty bad. plus side, rocked both of my peteys for paddy's day.

Got a nasty case of tongue bite with that one...sucked! Great flavor though!

After two weeks of not smoking a pipe because of tongue bite I finely decided to fir up a bowl of a sampler I got from the box pass. "Shortcut to Mushrooms". Loved it!

Ive given the CAO eileens dream a spin.. and thought it was pretty decent.. wasnt too sure how I would feel about "flavored" pipe tobacco in a tin..but I keep going back to it.. not too bad (the aroma on the eileens dream is excellent.. and the irish creme infused flavor is actually pretty mild.. its not overwhelming at all (IMO)..
