Hey folks. Kip here. Just thought I'd drop a line to introduce myself. I've run into Podman a couple of times at different events here & there, most recently a few months ago in Tampa when he was running with Barry Stein for the Tampa Cigar Bash. He's mentioned this forum, but I just got around to joining up. I'm not the type to belong to a gazillion forums half-heartedly. I have been a part of a few over the years, and much like in real life I'm fairly introverted - so I keep a few very close friends rather than 400 "acquaintances." So, I don't typically join up unless it seems like a community I'd like to really be a part of. I've kind of lurked and this one seems like that kind of place.
I'm originally from East Tennessee, but have been on the west central coast of Florida for going on 14 years. I'm a hardcore Fuente fan, but smoke an abnormally high number of other brands, mostly smaller boutique lines - Emilio, RomaCraft, illusione, etc. Let's see....for other interests, I like pipesmoking, flyfishing (or any other kind of fishing for that matter), hanging out with my kids, scuba diving, I'm an enthusiastic but not-so-talented domino player...pretty much any kind of fun diversion to go with cigar smoking. Well, the scuba doesn't work well with cigars - but if I ever figure that out, I'm set. I do a blog and podcast just as a hobby and fun way to meet folks in the industry. Not much else to say. I'm just a hillbilly that REALLY likes tobacco....
