Those that skateboarded in the late 80's through the early 90's might remember this guy. Nobody went bigger and nobody had more style back then. Today I met a skateboarding legend.... Christian Hosoi.

Zen, he was doing a meet and greet at a surf shop. I stopped by during lunch and hardly anyone was there so I got to talk for a minute or two. Really nice guy and thankful for those who came out. Got some vans swag and a signed poster.

So we are talking skateboarding at the table and our waitress asks if Hosoi was a "Z-Boy". I thought she was too young for that so I said "what you know about the Z-Boys?" And she does this....

Niceeee I was always on bikes tho. Was pretty cool with Matt, Dennis Ron and the Haro guys as a teen. I used to love the artwork on the decks tho. Think the Gator deck was my favorite

I remember the old Haro demos when the Condor was blasting. He had a brutal slam at one of our demos, got back up and kept riding.
Yeah he was always like that. As a teen his parents used to actually travel with them. He would come over my house and chill. Problem is the caravan that would follow. My mother came home to a yard full of vehicles and bikes one Saturday afternoon. His parents being there and being cool saved me LOL
