So here is my dilemma. I have a 150 ct humidor that is just about full. 20 or so more sticks and I will be at my total max. I want to be able to start buying boxes but with a 150 ct it just doesn't make sense for me. I would like to grab a vinotemp or something of the sort but I wanted some help on estimating costs.

For now I will be buying boxes and storing in a friends walk in humidor until I get 5 or so put away where a larger storage system makes sense.

What is everyone spending ballpark on a coolidoor? I know drawers will be a few hundred on top of the initial investment.

Whatever you choose go WAY bigger than you think. I went from desktops, to one wine cooler, too 2, too 3, too a cabinet, to a cabinet and a side table, to a cabinet a side table and 2 300 count humidors...... Just get the biggest cabinet that Avallo makes that's temperature controlled and enjoy it haha

+1... Go bigger thank you think you need to...

If you're on a budget... Watch CL closely... You can find wine coolers on the cheap there regularly... Mine is small (just a 12 bottle).. But I only paid $20 for it, brand new, still in the box...

I dropped another $50 or so in trays in it from Forrest... And a few bucks in KL for RH... And for well less than $100 I was able to add temp controlled storage space for about 250 more sticks...

I'm just about finished with a cabinet project now (will start putting sticks in there today)... That I found on CL.. That I'm going to have about $175 in once I'm done with it...

Craigslist is the way to go. Just be patient and you will find a great deal. After a couple of days you will start to get a feel for the market. Every day I checked humidors, cigars and wine cooler. I finally found a 42 bottle, 1 year old wine cooler for 30 bucks. I ordered 3 trays from Fortest for about $150 and I ordered beads for another $60 and I am pretty much set. When it is all said and done i will be able to store over 1000 cigars for about $250. Not a bad deal.

Wow that's a great deal! No budget per say but I should probably quickly create one the way sticks have been arriving lately. I will keep my eyes peeled on cl. Thanks!

Go big is the answer!! Free is better than craigslist. If you have a basement you don't need it something that cools. Check out the Freezer project in my signature line. Its the way to go. (Now with beads)

I love that thread, I guess it all depends how much room we have when we buy our new house. A full size fridge humidor would be awesome.
