I only take the cello out of my Cohibas because they're fancy and need the air.

I tend to leave the cello on, mainly because it helps to protect the sticks. I have this bad habbit of fondling my smokes and it helps to protect them in case I accidentally drop one. Now that's not to say that I don't open up the cello and take a good sniff every now and then though
This is cigar erotica, like fifty shades of grey for tobacco.

I take the cello off myself unless it is needed for identification (i.e. la grande classe) I , unlike Rupe, have some self control and keep the fondling to a minimum :eyepoke:. I unlike most on the board also keep my humi's at 70/68 and have had no issues at all with mold and they age excellently. Only a couple sticks I've come across that need dry-boxed before smoking at 70%. To each their own

Ok, sounds like it can go both ways. I was thinking, ( dangerous) after starting this thread and I may take one of my 25 count humidors and do a test with some undressed to see if there is a difference in the taste after a month or two..:

From experience, I have left the cello on. I have a good amount of cigars that are out of cello, and over the years they have gotten a little beat around. I now keep them at the bottom away from the other so I do not damage them, and they do not get sifted threw anymore. My preference would be to keep them on if they have them, they breath just fine, and it adds a little more protection. But like all the great people have said here, it is all a preference. Do what feels natural to you my friend!

Well, I had to get in the humidor yesterday to reload the humi-care jars, still havin problems there, but while I was in there I took out about 20 and stuck them in a small humi and undressed them before I laid them down fora rest.... Who knows, I figured it was worth a test.

Nice Griz, You never know for sure until you try each way out. I have never really noticed any difference between naked or dressed sticks, but I look forward to hearing any updates from you on the subject :)
