I absolutely love to open a cabinet box with non-cello cigars and sniff the treasure inside, LFD Cabinet Oscuros have always been one of my NC favorites to sniff. However the Room 101 Daruma Monstro box just thrills those nasal senses and if you haven't sniffed that box I would advise you to stop by your local B&M and give it a try. Empty or full it has a wonderful sweet tobacco, cedar and sandalwood aroma with a hint of patchouli - heaven!

Any other Box Sniffers out there? Post your favorite nasal sensation.

I'm a sucker for AF 8-5-8 boxes. My stepdad, who got me into cigars, smoked them exclusively for years... so that aroma reminds me of home.

If I saw someone doing that at my B&M I'd probably punch them in the face lol. Im all for opening up MY wineador and enjoying the pleasant smell that comes out of it but if someone at the shop is sticking their nose into sticks that they dont yet own, bad juju. Just my .02

I don't mind at my B&M, though I prefer they ask me first and I can assist them in their sniffing, I think it's part of the humidor experience. What I don't like is when they take cigars out of the cello and sniff them without asking for help. You get a lot of damaged wrappers that way so if I see someone doing it I prefer to say "Let me do that for you".

Yeah man some people are just savages lol. I was at a B&M one time and I kid you not this guy removes the cello, sniffs it, puts the uncut stick in his mouth to "taste the wrapper" and then puts it back on the shelf. That guy got kicked out so damn fast lol. I couldnt believe what I was seeing.

For me most of the Tat Miami Blends give me that sensation but the one that really got me was the TAA 11's I would give anything for Pete to make that cigar an regular line release. It was a fantastic cigar in my opinion. That being said there really are alot of cigars more than I care to list that smell great but the taste of the cigar itself seems to be limited as far as both are concerned.

For me I have to say it is the RyJ Churchills. There is something about the smell that had me hooked from that second forward.

I haven't had many NC so my experience is mainly CC.

namakubi papi chulo. when i cracked the cad, it just screamed HEAVILY honeyed toast! there was still some honey and cream aspect to the smoke for me, but cracking that box was a "whoa!" moment.

and yes, cracking a tat box, especially reserva, and getting hit in the face with funk. "this smells SO bad, it is going to be great!". o)

I love opening a Viaje box. Also Tom, yesterday I cracked open two cabs of TAA 2011's while preparing to go to the post office I almost posted on Facebook "Pete Johnson should Wet Pack all of his cabs....IJS" Those sticks smell like a box of Dark Chocolate!
