Nicarguan Puro from Davidoff

I'm excited to try these, should be around this summer.

The price tag isn't cheap, but I'll splurge to see what their bringing to the game.

They have a Dominican Puro already--I enjoyed their Millennium blend better--so It'll be interesting to see how this will defer.

Any Davidoff fans out there?

I'd smoke them more often if I thought they were worth the coin. I enjoyed the millennium blend too. I've got a few that have been sitting for a while now. I just don't smoke them, because I don't want to replace them and there are sooooo many other sticks to choose from.

A Nica puro does intrigue me, so . . . . ???

Have been told by a B&m owner that's been to the factory that the cost is in the factory itself, the qc for the smokes and a relatively excellent environment and care for there work force. Plan to visit hopefully next year

I'm reminded of a thread with Saka, where he says something to the effect of: We could lower the price, but then we'd have to lower the quality.
Makes sense to me, the old Quality vs Quantity thing. I'm glad quality of living for their employees is paramount--happy healthy workers makes for happy cigars too

The use of tobacco from the Ometepe region interests me... This cigar will also use tobacco from the other more common regions: Condega, Esteli, and Jalapa Valley. It sounds really interesting. Here's a past link about the Ometepe Region:

Thanks for the link JDog. I actually ran into Ryan last night at our local cigar bar, started talking about the Cigar Safari, and he showed me those very photos from his phone.
Very coincidental and must be a sign for me to buy a couple of these Davidoff sticks. I have a feeling that they'll turn out better than those 25 cent local cigars:thumbsup:
