I have a Streamlight 2L as well. I left it in a backpack in direct sunlight all day one August (Borrego desert, 115 degrees). The battery exploded. I cleaned it out with q-tips and alc swabs. It fired right back up. That was three years ago. The lens didn't even melt 
Man I threw a load of bdu's in the dryer and heard the thud and knew it wasn't a knife and was like wth? Pulled it out hit the "awww daaaayummm" moment hit the button without thinking I should dry it out first and worked fine. Lookin it up to see if water resistance is even listed.

Threw a washed load into the dryer and after about 15 minutes I started to hear this annoying rattling sound when I realized what it was my eyeballs almost popped out! I had just been to the range and had a misfire so I put the round in my pocket so as not to reload it and now it was rolling around in a very hot clothes dryer. So stupid!

Probably not but it was a definite stomach turner. I threw the breaker and let the thing cool down for a while though just in case.
My wife would kill me if she found something like that in the W/D. I'm the world's worst about emptying pockets before washing clothes!
