coolidor temp

I have a 150 quart coolidor , and I`m using Hf 65% beads and an oust fan. My humidity is great but my temp is going up 75 to 78 degrees. I already have it in the basement I don't know what to do any help? What happens if my temp is too high? HELP

Hey bigbill,

You can try the same method as it should assist. It will be pretty close to the same method needed to cool it down.

To answer your question about the high temps. Youll prolong any aging at that temp, if that is in fact what your using the cooler for. Also, you risk exposure to a beetle problem, should the temps maintain a high temp for any extensive amount of time. Im not sure exactly what the time frame is on that, but I would assume it would have to be more than a few days.

I do agree with everyone else, you might start jumping on the ThermoElectric Wineador sooner than later.

you can always take a couple igloo blocks and place them in a neutral area not near any cigars, like if the cooler came with a removable tray, put the blocks in there, it will help drop the temp. you will just have to monitor the cooler more often and refreeze the cooler blocks as needed, but I too would switch to a wineador when ever possible. No one would like to see you with beetle issues.
