nope, not briar. that, AFAIK, is a nice hunk of petrified bog oak? morta is an odd material, but is supposed to be aMAzing when done right. which it looks like it was. beautiful pick up, hoarder! o)Wow - that's a nice hunk of briar! Good find!
Correct! I've had an eye on Becker mortas for a while and finally found one for half price. Couldn't say no. This thing smokes cold and never ever gurgles. I heard bog oak would make things taste different so I have some testing to do. Ordering!picked up a "forever stem" from walker briar works:
yes, putting a hand made stem on a cob is kinda like polishing a turd, but OMG it actaully drew better for me! it also didn't make me feel like some ironic hipster douche while smoking a cob. seriously, it is a sweet little pick up for me.
