I am heading down there for a week with my girlfriend for some much needed relaxation and good food. I was wondering if there was any cigar friendly places I should check out while I am there. Hell, any suggestions in general would be more than welcome. I have never been so I'll be playing it by ear.

Thanks,
Matt

None that I know of. There is a hotel downtown that's cigar friendly though. I'll have to
ask my friend for the name and post back up here for you. My advice to you is to bring
your own sticks brotha.

Do a search as this topic was discussed a while back.

For good food, try The Noble Fare out. Very romantic and even more delicious. It's a little outside of the center of action but well worth the trip. We went about a year ago and my wife stil talks about it.

Went to Noble Fare last night and it was delicious. By far our favourite restaurant down here. Thanks again for the suggestion.

Very cool! Glad you liked it. It's making me hungry just thinking of it!

Another place that we liked was a cooking class (more of a demo and interactive 4-course dinner) by Chef Joe Randall. Delicious meal, that has even been replicated at home once! http://www.chefjoerandall.com/

Smoke,

I stopped by that one. They had a box of opus #4s up on the shelf hidden away. There was 6 left in it so I grabbed them all. 14 a piece which wasn't horrible. They gave me the box as well which was a nice touch. I stopped by a few other shops that advertised cigars but was pretty dissatisfied. A place was selling opus for 50 bucks a stick lol. 5 packs of the little muwats for like 60.

I did stop by Silo Cigar in Knoxville on the way home and grabbed a couple my father lounge cigars. That was a really nice shop. Wish it wasn't five hours from Cincinnati.

Yeah, Sav is in dire need of a better B&M. The one on River is the only good one. If I was sticking around, I may open my shop there...however...New Orleans may be seeing a very classy cigar lounge with a full bar for the patrons inside. Keep an eye out. Of course all members here will be welcomed and treated quite well.
