Going to my brother in law's wedding out of town this weekend, was thinking about taking a box of cigars to hand out to whoever wanted one. Was wondering on some suggestions, I know I have my favorites but a lot of these people probably don't smoke, and I also want to be able to slightly impress any veteran smokers. Any suggestions? Thanks guys!

I was going to give out Oliva G's at my wife cousins wedding. I've noticed ppl that don't smoke to often like those and it is a pretty good smoke for the $$ so u won't break the bank. But I found a box of My Father Petit Robusto's for around $100 so I went that route. Those IMO are pretty tasty one of my favorites plus the packaging is supper nice. I find that people at wedding rarely appreciate a "good" cigar. Instead they look for recognizable cigars. For my daughters wedding I bought a box of Romeo y Julieta's. I know it is an Ataldis cigar but most folks smoked an inch or two and put them out. However, they talked about the "Romeos" they smoked for years. I kept a nice stash under the table of my etter stock for people that knew their cigars. All in all everyone was happy

Upmann half coronas. Small in size but not in flavor. People dont want to commit a lot of time so the half coronas are perfect. Also dont break the bank either!

This its the way to go. Did it at my wedding, and did it at my buddy's wedding. Painless to see 1/4-smoked cigars lying around at the end of the night because I didn't care about them.

Cheap Padrons are also a good option.
yeah, but they may be a bit much for the casual, strength wise. plus side, totally a good thing to keep the leftovers on! o)

my recommendation is SMALLER VITOLAS. nothing bigger than a toro. maybe a corona, corona gorda, or robusto. as mentioned, many might want to spark one but not actually SMOKE one. moreover, if they do, you really don't want to take an hour and a half or more away from the festivities to burn a "quick" church, right?

fuente chateau natural, oliva G or O (which IIRC has a CG sized "corona"), maybe an EPC core or NWC. all good smokes, good packaging, and priced not to kill the wallet.

Great advice all around, same thing happened at my brothers wedding in the Bahama's. I brought a bunch of smaller NC, including some DE coffee infused, for everyone and had a ISOM stick for me. You'll find the girls all want one too, but don't actually smoke it. Have a great time!

Our san Diego Oliva rep dropped a bundle on my buddy for his wedding, flor de Oliva if I'm not mistaken. Worked well. Enjoy the festivities!

+1. Definitely the route I would take here.

The Flor de Las Antillas i found to be a good smoke, and it wont break the bank for a box or two. They are also an in the middle smoke, maybe a little lighter but a smoker who likes stronger stuff will be able to smoke those whereas a person who likes mild stuff wouldnt smoke anything to strong.

Exactly this... ^^^ And that all goes double if you anticipate the guests to be younger folks! In my experience, a crowd of +35 y/o guests will really try to keep em going, but the under-30's will smoke MAYBE an inch, then set em down and never look back.

For me, I take a fistful of General's Punch London Club Maduros. They generally catch on fire when you put a flame to them, and they more or less taste like a cigar - which, for $2.50/per, is just about all I care about.

They're also smaller, so it's (somewhat) less likely to make a true novice puke. (A disgrace General Cigar has chosen to save only for us regular cigar smokers, I guess... )

Edit:

Did a little price check and I can get 25ct boxes of these here for $53+tax. If you wanna go that route, be happy to work something out to ship you one.

Edit 2:

Oh. Guess this already happened. Weekend's over and I've no idea where all that time went!
