I don't think the UF-4 and the UF-13 are at all similar. I can take or leave the 13, I'd walk through hell in a gasoline suit for more UF-4s. That said, the 13 will age, I think, into something special. Also, that said, I'd trade a sealed box if 13s for 4s any day of the week.
+1 have had 4/5 13's and i personally dont like them. i hope they do age into something or i'll be bombing out this box!
+2 I've had a couple and I decided to immediately slap on some Public Enemy "Don't Believe the Hype." I don't understand how these got the rave reviews that they did and I think they are one of the worst DE products put out to date. However, having said that I also think that they have great aging potential and I am sincerely hoping they end up like the cigar.com prerelease. I'd take one of those any day of the week over the released version, no question.

ATL/sofc do you think the difference could have been from age? Not that I doubt you, I'm just curious. So the Jd-4 and the Uf-4 were different from each other and better than the Uf-13... did the cigars.com release of the Uf-13 compare well to the UF-4?

I've had the pleasure of smoking 2 Big Black Rats. One was a prototype that I really don't remember much about. The other, had the BBR band and it was the same size as the Ratzilla. I'd much prefer the Ratzilla as the BBR was more power than anything else. I've heard this same opinion expressed on other forums. Also, the UF-4 I thought was much creamier than the 13. But I'm hoping the 13 gets there with some age.

A picture for reference.

This pic is from cigar safari 2 years ago. I actually left this in the seat back pocket on the plane coming home. I was so tired I left a whole bag of prototypes... #fail

The Black Rat is one of the unreleased LP prototypes. I cant remember for sure but i think it was a dirty rat with an LP9 wrapper. The Big Black Rat was a larger version. Neither was ever released.
You are correct the black rat was a corona and the BBR was a corona gorda if memory serves. Supposedly, they were both awesome and the BBR in particular would be the best vitola for the blend. There are very few circulating around out there and I wonder how someone was even able to get there hands on any. Then again, I have seen events where Bashert Pigs were given away so go figure.
Cigar Safari - that's where I got mine.

Its not that big a deal. I lost or left a cigar gifted to me from the 1920 or 1930s and didn't realize it for a while. They're just smokes.

Yeah I've already been warned about you and a few others on return fires. lol so I sit back and respect y'all and watch the fun. It does seem like since I started here 'still a newbie to the forums' that its got insane crazy with the bombs lately in just a few months but I guess that's the fun of quite a few here. I learned fast about what to not say as far as likes go. No I don't see you being scared of anyone on here by any means. Your one of the heavy hitters 'ballers' yourself. :) As far as taste go I agree its been really hard finding something I can grab for an 'outstanding smoke' without it being htf, even 90% of those blow!

I finally smoked my JD4 while I was in Vegas a couple of weeks ago. It was "Good" at best, but not
great the way everyone seems to be saying. I wasn't drunk out of my mind to the point where I couldn't
enjoy it. In fact, i think it was only my second cigar of the night... The only thing I regret about that night
was leaving my travel humidor (cheap clear plastic/homemade one), but hell.... I was partying with the Redskins
and with as much fun as we were having that was the last thing on my mind! :)
