I'm looking to expand my repertoire of cigars that can serve as a "3rd stick of the day," the primary quality of which is that they need to have strong, penetrating flavor. 2ndary importance is price--"everyday cigar" pricing, so under $7, preferably more like $4. I'm not looking for mere palate-punchers without depth, though spiciness/pepperiness is usually a plus--and a lot of Saint Nic. is nice but not required.

For reference, some of the sticks that currently fit the bill are:

Tat Avion '12
Tat Fausto T114
L'At Surrogates Bone Crusher/Skull Breaker
JdN Antano
JdN Antano Dark Corojo
LFD DL
Roma Craft Cromagnon / Aquitaine
Oliva V
Oliva V Maduro
My Father LB1922 corona gorda LE
MoW Ruination / Puro Authentico
Diesel (need some rest to get over the harshness)

I've had a couple 601 La Bomba, and the jury is still out (the old Blue & Green labels were amazing, the new ones seem to have lost something, or maybe they just need age, but the La Bomba has promise), and there are several cigars that fit the bill on flavor/body, but are just too pricey for a daily smoke (Illusione Ultra, Oliva V Melanio, Padron '26 & FR, Viaje Skull & Bones).

Any other suggestions? Thanks guys!

[And before any of you wise guys get ideas, I'm moving next week so you can't send me anything, HA!]

Ummmmm.....Nate, I think you have already got it correct.

I'd switch to T166 (last cigar of most days for me), drop the MoW's and Diesel and only add LFD DL maduro chisel or chiselito. Cain F lancero might fit the bill, as well.

Well you've already got a bunch of the major ones.

Only one off the top of my head that you're missing is the Cain F lanceros. ETA: damn you, Dave. Beat me to it.

I might throw the GER in there too, but I'd need to revisit to confirm. The flavors were certainly bold, but I don't recall if it had the punch you're looking for or not.

You mentioned it, but the La Bomba would fit the bill for me, and the price (I've seen boxes of 10 for $29.99 on different sellers at various times) is can't miss.

Still thinking.....If time is short, I'll finish the day with a J Fuego Origen Original or Room 101 Namakubi Ecuador PC....sometimes a Tat PCR. I've also got some old Edge corojo seconds (cbid Liga X-out A's) stocked up from years ago that fit the bill nicely.

Haven't had an Edge Corojo in a long time, but yea those might work. I probably have a couple still.

And I agree the JF Orininals are great, both the Origen and the SdT. Never tried them as a 3rd stick, but those might be a good choice in winter especially.

ARSENIO, Dominus, Domus Magnus($$), Pepin Black/Blue.

Smoking a fresh(6/25/13) Arsenio right now and it is full, spicy, smooth, cheap, and not mild.

To the OP, I sent you a couple Arsenios in a sampler a couple years ago, maybe you still have one. They were great then and the new ones are excellent.

I was going to add something to the list but my goto's (MOW's and deisels) were listed already. I do love a strong cigar.
